2019 NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

With the season upon us, one of the most fun things to speculate on is the Rookie of the Year race. While the NBA Championship odds may show that things might not be that competitive this year, the Rookie of the Year race is wide open and there is just so much that we don’t know right now. Who will get playing time? Who will put up good stats on bad team? Who will end up a vital part of a playoff team? Jimmy Butler requests trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves

There has been smoke around this fire for a few weeks now, but it is has finally come to a head: Jimmy Butler has formally requested a trade away from the Minnesota Timberwolves. He has given the team a list of three teams he would like to be traded to: the Knicks, Clippers and Nets. All three teams that would have the kind of cap space needed to give him a max contract. 2019 Los Angeles Clippers Win Total Betting Odds

For the first time since 2008, the Clippers will open the season without DeAndre Jordan or Blake Griffin on the roster. This is a definitely a transition year for the Los Angeles Clippers, but as we saw last season this team is going to play hard every night and they will upset some teams. They are coming off a season in which they won 42 games, but their win total is set at just 36.5 wins for the upcoming season. That is both an insult and it makes perfect sense, the Clippers in a nutshell, which is what makes this such a difficult total to pick. Continue Reading…

2019 NBA Championship Odds

The 2019 NBA season is upon us and with that comes the 2019 NBA Championship Odds. The Warriors entered 2018 as the favorite to win the title at +140 and this year they enter as a even bigger favorite at anywhere from -150 to -222. It’s easy to see why. This team has been operating on another level for the past few seasons and the combination of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry is really hard to beat. Throw in DeMarcus Cousins to this year’s playoff roster and it makes sense. It’s no fun, but it makes sense. This creates some really good values for some of the other top teams in the league though and if you believe the Warriors are vulnerable, there are some great values out there.  Continue Reading…

2019 Charlotte Hornets Win Total Betting Odds

There are teams in the NBA that are on the upswing and there are teams in the NBA that are on the downswing. Looking at the Hornets, I am really not sure where they fit. They finished 36-46 last season, but that is a bit misleading as this team really underplayed their performance stats and would be expected to have a 42-40 record. That season cost Steve Clifford his job here and James Borrego will take over this team with a total of 35.5 wins.  Continue Reading…
